Cabin: Spa Balcony
This was our 2nd time on the Magic and our 3rd cruise overall (always 7 days or more). We chose to cruise on the Magic again because we really enjoyed this ship. Plenty to do, lots of room, never feels over crowded.
We had the Faster to the Fun so our Embarkation was very smooth. Although, even without it, the process is run very well and seems to be organized. We were greeted with smiles by everyone we met.
The amenities on this ship are plentiful! We took advantage of the board games in the library this cruise...we had a rainy day after leaving Grand Turk. Plenty of activities all day long from games (bingo, trivia, scattergories, etc.), and sports (basketball, corn hole tournament, beer bong, ping pong, etc.), and features (spa tour, art auction, wine tasting, martini making, towel folding, etc.), to shows (big productions, comedy shows, small groups in different areas of the ship, etc.), and parties (groove for st. jude, 80's party, mardi gra, etc.).

Our cabin was perfect! We always get a balcony cabin and we also opted for the spa balcony. Loved it! We had access to the thermal rooms (aromatherapy, saunas, Thalassotherapy pool). We also enjoy being up top (12th floor), forward and port side. We were located directly across from the gym, which we utilized often. If we return to this ship, we will select this cabin again.
Port Reviews
Amber Cove (Puerto Plata)
The port itself is just like all the other Carnival ports (same shops, etc.). We did the Waterfall Adventure. BEST excursion to date!! Well run, guides were excellent. Lots of fun. We will do it again if we return to this port.
Half Moon Cay
Pleasantly surprised by this little island. The water was crystal clear and the beach was amazing. The Carnival staff were superb!!! Had a great time!!!
