Our Fourth trip on Viking, Two on Oceans, Two on River. They just don't disappoint. Find ourselves continually amazed by the staff and officers who learn names and make you feel welcome. Cruise Critic's Meet and Greet is the unique "door' to meeting the ships General Mgr, Head Chef and Restaurant Mgr. Don't ever miss a "meet and greet"! That evening resulted in three special meals for our group of 6. The General Mgr, Tom Aborg, always made it a point to check on us at days end and request our feedback.

Vikings optional tours are fine, but acknowledging the fact we likely wouldn't be the only tourists in Italy we opted to use a family owned business called ItalyTours.Eu. The cost of their tours for four was so worth the expense which equaled Vikings large tour bus costs. Each of our ItalyTours.EU, drivers met us ship side in the ports of Livorno, Civitavecchia, and Naples and drove us pointing out highlights along the way to Florence, Rome and Naples. Each tour was 8-10 hours long. We met our expert guides upon our arrival into each city. Where, due to their familiarity with the venues and the gate keepers at those venues, we twice skipped by, the long, skip the line tickets and received instant entrance.
