We love the Equinox, and we are loyal Celebrity cruisers. The ship is beautiful and easy to navigate, and there are numerous places to lounge or relax. The food, service, and entertainment were all excellent, and we enjoyed all the onboard activities. The southern Caribbean itinerary appealed to us and did not disappoint. Rich, the Cruise Director, was one of the best we have ever had. He was a great entertainer, and we could tell he loves his job! As always, there was a variety of food, and it was delicious. We chose the select (anytime) dining, and always were given our preferred table. We were unable to disembark in Grand Cayman due to large swells, which was disappointing, but we were thankful the captain had our safety in Mind. Our itinerary also changed from Key West to Jamaica, and Celebrity bought a Jamaican band on board, and they were great. The ship's singers and dancers were very talented, and the entertainment was top notch. The crew was always happy, polite, ans accomodating. Once again, Celebrity delivered!
Our cabin was well laid out with plenty of room for all our stuff. We like that the sofa, not the bed, was in front of the balcony. It was located aft, portside, and was quiet, close to the card room.
We walked around the port (lots of shops and vendors).
Curaçao was beautiful. We took a taxi to The Blue Bay Resort which had a nice beach with shaded areas and chairs. Also, there was a bar/ restaurant, and the food was good, and reasonably priced. ($8.00 entrance fee).
