We chose this cruise because it had Progreso as a port of call and we wanted to go to Chichen Itza. We were not disappointed in the cruise or the excursion to Chichen Itza. The ship staff were all friendly and one bartender, Inyoman was exceptional in the way he anticipated our needs, not just in offering alcoholic drinks, but in bringing ice and bottled water as well. The excursion staff were knowledgeable and friendly. Pretty ship; the decor was lovely. The food options were tasty. There was a snafu about our dining table the first night; we had chosen early dining and the table number on our sail and sign card was incorrect - we were placed in the middle of a large family group and had to be moved elsewhere. My husband made use of the smoking area; I was pleased to see that Carnival treats smokers respectfully, providing them with a pleasant, well lit, well ventilated area to gather in.

Cabin 8B

The cabin was nice and spacious, clean and in good repair. The only negative was that there was no little coffee pot in the room with which to make up one's own first cup of coffee for the day.
