I'm so nauseated at Lido food and MDR food is barely passable for a few days. So very grateful for Steakhouse and Ji Ji's (both excellent). Typical Carnival experience - fun but lacking decent food. Guys burgers were disgusting. Multiple people complaining about diarreah (sp) mid-cruise. Ship was typical Carnival - fun experience, dated décor, lousy food unless you pay extra. Value internet plan did not work as well as other ships but was ok (e.g., my dog-sitter emailed me two photos of the dogs and I email back that the photos were not attached - he assured me he sent them, then next day they appeared. Apparently photos take hours to upload). Shower pressure was better than most ships on deck 8. Casino was not as good as other ships. The ultimate horseback-riding, zip-line and farmhouse lunch excursion was great - moderate paced, even an 80-year old woman was able to zip-line (her first ever!) thanks to the flexibility of the guides. I rated dining "Very Good" but that's only because the "pay-extra" restaurants were extra. Had they not existed I would have rated Dining POOR. Well done, Carnival.

Balcony

Cabin 8E

Typical, but shower pressure was better than usual.

Port Reviews

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata)

The "ultimate" excursion for $109 was well-worth the money. I would do it again.

Grand Turk

I love Jack's Shack and Topher.
