The cabin was small, but it was the bathroom that was extremely unpleasant.
The "outhouse like" smell of old urine that frequently dominated the room was NOT the fault of our cabin stewards.
They worked very hard and did a great job but the smell seemed to emanate from the pipes.  It was not always present but was frequently enough to make it very unpleasant.

This was the only excursion in Japan that actually lived up to the description for which we had paid.  Nara is lovely.

This was the one good part of our overnight excursion.  It is truly a sight to behold.  However, the rest of the excursion was such a huge disappointment at a tremendously exorbitant  price which left us feeling cheated in every way!

We were given so little time to visit the wall that it absolutely broke our hearts.  This was supposed to be the best part of our overnight experience but unfortunately did not turn out to be so at all...

Our guide rushed us through the town and so it was impossible to actually enjoy the experience and soak up the ambiance of the village...Disappointing

We had previously booked two additional cruises with Holland America this year (one in the winter and another in the spring) and given our unpleasant experience in October we cancelled our winter cruise upon our return home.I was stunned by this news given that we spent an hour standing in the rain at a tea shop, rather than visit the scheduled lookout, but no one had ever offered us any kind of refund.
