We rarely travel on Princess Lines. Like the US Airline industry they are racing to the bottom of the mass market sector. Not criticism, just a fact. Last time we cruised with Princess was three years ago. We picked this cruise based upon timing and itinerary with a some concern that it was Princess. Maybe another way of saying it, is when you go on vacation do you want an average experience or a memorable one (btw when retired are you really going on vacation or just changing scenery).

One thing that had not changed was the friendly crew and their service. I am always impressed how they can keep their good demeanor day in and day out, especially with some passengers who are less than polite to them.

Beyond service there was a noticeable change. The food in general was very average whether the Horizon Court Buffet or the Dinning room, think Denny's or Cracker Barrel if you've tried those places. Though again, service beyond the Matre'd was very nice and we always had fun with the waiters in the Dining Room.

Cabin Review

Mini-Suite with Balcony

Cabin MD

Cabin was in surprising good condition. There was an extra large sofa in which we both could stretch out.

This cabin is aft so you will get a little engine vibration now and then. But not troublesome to comfort or sleep.
