OK,
So we did not choose this cruise, it was selected for us by the gallery which paid for the cruise...
So, once aboard there was nothing to do except mill about until the staterooms were ready. On every other cruise we've taken, they have a "sail away" party immediately because people started arriving early and many skipped lunch ashore to eat during sail away... And this gave the crew the chance to finish preparing the staterooms.
First and foremost. the beds aboard Escape were a LOT more comfortable than those aboard Anthem of the Seas(our last cruise)
That said, what the hell happened to storage space????
We had a balcony stateroom, and there were not drawers to put clothing in! There were doors one opened to expose 4-inch deep shelves instead. And while I pack light, there was little enough space to store even my limited wardrobe(1 week's tee shirts, underwear, socks, and several pairs of pants) To save space, I used the clips on hangers in the closet to hang bathing suits from.
