We have traveled with Regent for over 200 days in the past 5 years. We love the service, the staterooms, and crew. Each trip brings a different adventure. Life aboard a cruise ship is not perfect, but it is certainly "next to perfect". We board again on Friday for the Amazon.

The Mariner is scheduled to go in for redecorating in March. It's time! The majority of the staterooms are tired and the bathrooms need to be replaced.

Shore excursions are pretty good, but I have learned to research the ports and decide if we want to upgrade excursion by making our own plans. Additional sites and venues should be able to be booked through a concierge, such as theater tickets, dinner reservations or sporting events.

Cabin Review

Penthouse Suite

Cabin A

Best in size for a Penthouse Suite. Very comfortable sofa. Could have extra piece on balcony to put your feet on, rather than the rails. Closet, small. Bathroom, needs total remake and I know it is scheduled. A little bounce being on the 11th floor, forward. Prefer midship.

Port Reviews

Montreal

We did not take an excursion. We took a taxi to Old Montreal, walked around for an enjoyable morning and ended our walk at the boat terminal.

New York (Manhattan)

Words cannot express the feeling you have when you stand on the site of 911. And, you can only marvel at the buildings that have since been born. The museum was so moving and our guide was excellent
