This is a really great ship! Clean, modern and well run. Staff was hard working, helpful and terrific. Food was terrific in all restaurants we ate in, and entertainment and activities were top notch! My criticism is probably not with the Anthem of the Seas in particular, but probably more with Royal Caribbean.

They shut tight the Marketplace (buffet), Café 270 and the Solarium Café between breakfast and lunch, lunch and dinner, and after dinner. OF COURSE they have to reset things for the next meal, but on every other ship I've been on - 1 Royal Caribbean (Majesty of the Seas), 2 Norwegian and 6 Carnival - venues like these are kept open between meals despite the food areas being closed for cleaning and changing meals. This gives people extra places to sit and easy access to the complimentary coffee, tea, hot chocolate, water and lemonade. I almost always had to go all the way down to the Promenade Café on deck 4 for coffee, water and lemonade. This is the only place to get those beverages between meals. Carnival and Norwegian has no problem keeping venues like this open during off times and keeping it all clean and fresh for the next meal.

Only one ice cream station and being open for such a limited time is woefully inadequate.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin E1

Great cabin and in a great location! Oversized balcony that is bigger than those of aft facing cabins we've had on other ships. Gie, our steward was terrific.
