With only 3 exceptions (our dining room waiter Mark and two workers at the duty free shop) everyone on the cruise was very unhelpful. The crew also seemed unfriendly and unhappy in general. For example, I went early to the breakfast buffet at 6am, and I asked multiple crew members where an open buffet line: each pointed in a different direction. I had more luck wondering around by myself. The cabin seemed acceptable, however when I was packing I found two dirty socks in different parts of the cabin that were leftover from a previous guest. The food was generally inedible even in the dining room. The cooks at the pool breakfast buffet don't know how to make omelettes. Every day we smelled cigarette smoke in our room and when I asked a passing senior crew member for help he waved his hand at me and walked away without helping or any sympathy. At the casino we supposedly won several free drinks but there was never a waiter around to order one from (we spent several hours there hoping for a free drink the machines said we earned). We paid a lot for the piu gusto drink package, but whenever I asked for wine there were only two choices that were poor quality (I had better wine for 3 euros in Barcelona after the cruise). There were also only two beer options as well. Also, the piu gusto was frustrating because the bars were always crowded and understaffed so it took 10 minutes just to order a drink. We generally liked the excursions, but one of them was cancelled when we got on the ship and for another we were told to pick up our passports starting at 7:15 am. We showed up at 7:15am to wait in line, but they didn't retrieve our passports to start handing them out until 7:45. There was no communication or explanation as a long line formed and people were anxious about making the 8am excursion. One of our travel companions had an extra bar charge on her bill and when she complained before disembarking no one helped her and everyone told her to talk to someone else. The final straw is that on our reservation it clearly states we were to get two $50 onboard credits (total $100) and we only received one $50 credit. We spoke with three different crew members from the reception desk. The last copied my printout of our booking and said he would investigate and call me, but he never did and we never received a credit. I have been on several cruises and this is by far the worst I've ever been on.
