Cabin: Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

We like to take an Autumn holiday to get an extra bitof summer and this proved perfect.

Brilliance continues to be an excellently fitted out ship. Great cabin (9230) and steward. Far better and well maintained public areas than on many more recent ships. Plenty to keep us occupied day and night with activities. Not one member of staff nor officer or crew was other than helpful and courtious. The Ports of call could not be bettered; all around the Med and Greece. Our agent provided an excellent overnight hotel in "H10 Marina" Barcelona.

Dining somewhat let down the voyage. The Windjammer is excellent with wide variety but lacking the best of dishes which can only be got by using a Speciality Restaurant or by paying extra in the Main Dining Room. We have been on this ship before refurbishment and many of the cosy corners have been made over to these restaurants and Next Cruise shop. Good entertainment nightly with two refreshing production shows and many first rate concerts. Disembarkation was smooth only marred by the over one hour wait for our our taxi to the airport on a cold morning.

Cabin Review

Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin D2

As well fitted as any we have travelled in. Plenty of wardrobe and drawer space. Comfortable and well laid out. The toilet and shower are quite small but excellently organised and we had been here before so knew what to expect. The steward was really on top of his job and performed well and always with a smile.

Port Reviews

Barcelona

Always something new to do or see here.

Cannes

Great beach cafe and promenade.

La Spezia (Cinque Terre)

Good place for coffee and cakes - we met up with friends and had a great day.

Rome (Civitavecchia)

A familiar port so we walked the promenade and drank coffee on a bright day.

Athens (Piraeus)

Another trip to the Acropolis and well worth the effort. Amazing sights.

Mykonos

Lovely spot not to be missed. Meandering passages with delights at every turn.

Santorini

Amazing island and great tender servive to the port. Hilltop town and ample venues for snacks and coffees. Not to be missed.

Malta (Valletta)

Vastly improved public spaces since our last visit. The new Lift/Elevator from the docks to the heart of the town has made access a million times better. Well done Malta. The ride up for 1 Euro is exciting with great views and the ride back is free. Garden and Square at the top leads directly into the sights and shopping streets.
