Just completed a Mediterranean cruise on MSC Poesia. As mentioned by others, the buffet was limited selection, repetitive menu, and poor quality food at best. In general the guests were pushy and rude at the buffet. "Hog feeding," is the image that came to mind. Servers were unresponsive and detached. We were refused service in the deck five dining room and left after 30 minutes of waiting and being ignored by a disinterested staff. Servers that we felt were good, we tipped directly and had the $10.00 gratuity removed from the bill. Entertainment was generally good but lacked variety from the latin rhythms. Regardless of the nightly theme, within a short time would usually revert to latin line dancing. We are avid tennis players but the onboard court was only available twice in 7 days. We didn't bring our own equipment to save space and because it was supplied only to find the ship's racquets were ancient and needing restringing and the balls were dead and virtually useless. On the bright side, the ship was immaculate, nightly shows were entertaining, the casino was fun. The bar staff was very professional and accommodating. Would we go on a MSC cruise again? I don't think so.
Cabins are small but adequate. Very clean and well maintained on a daily basis. Great water pressure and hot water.
