Traveled with my mother as a special treat for us both, hoping for relaxation and pampering. We got that and more on the Carnival Legend out of Sydney for 8 nights, stopping at Noumea, Mare and Isle of Pines. Both first time cruisers, and will certainly go again. Neither of us have a single complaint only praise and huge smiles. The embarkation and disembarkation was handled so smoothly with no waiting. Ship decor was fabulous and our balcony cabin perfect. All crew were extremely friendly and helpful, they made the trip even more special. We enjoyed the casual vibe and extensive selection of the Lido buffet for breakfast and lunch, and dined in the glorious dining room each evening. I must mention our lovely waiters for taking such good care of us every night at dinner, Suda, Dadan and Winata. Many great bars and places to sit and watch. Entertainment was top notch, something for everyone. I could not get over how professional the shows were and how incredible the theatre decor. I tried hard to experience everything the Legend had to offer, including the cocktails and the slides! The Spa services were an added bonus, with both of us having a pampering session and our hair done for formal night. The Serenity deck for adults was a great place to spend the days at sea relaxing in the sun. We enjoyed all 3 ports and took part in some of the very well run shore excursions. I recommend snorkeling, if possible take your own gear and an underwater camera. The Carnival really is a fun ship and the crew were like family. I could go on and on singing their praises...
