I have been cruising for the last 55 years and used many different cruise lines. Chose this cruise as were limited to time to see the islands. Got on to the smell of effluent which never quite went away and was at times overpowering to the point of gagging. Found the door to cabins closed and when got to our inside cabin on deck 11 found it fully made up but were rudely told to go away, we were not even allowed to leave our carry on bags, 5 and a half hours later we finally got there. Small, had to be Quasimodo to get in bed on the right side and continually banged head with the fixed lamp right where your head is? Two days and I finally fixed the shower head myself. No sleep as there was a rattle, which at first I thought was the picture on the wall but turned out to be something in the wall cavity. After two days of asking for it to be fixed all I got was a laugh from the steward. The food was like eating in a Coles cafe' only Coles was a damn sight better, Finally gave up eating and lived on breakfast cereal and fruit. Most of the crew shuffled around, got in your way, left trolleys in the middle of the walkways, reached across you and your meal when removing used dishes and looked like they didn't want to be there. Shore trips were expensive, what cost $69 PP [US] you could do on the local bus for $4. Every thing had taxes and gratuity added which made the drinks quite expensive, especially when on shore they were half the price and also the meals on shore were much better and there was more variety. The shows were about as good as any that are put on by Amateurs at your local Hall. Thank god the bar staff were excellent but there is only one toilet, one deck below the Waikiki Bar, as the other one was out of order and still was at the end of the cruise. The only working one was dual sex and within an hour was unusable for the females and eventually stopped flushing, causing a trip to midships to find a working one. Ship is badly designed and run to get as much money out of you in a week as they can. Do not use this ship as there is much, much better. Should have flown to each of the Islands and stayed at B&B's and driven around in a convertible Mustang. I would never, ever, use this Cruise Line again, and it's a good job they have the monopoly on this route as they would otherwise be put of business
