First of all....if your lucky enough to have Captain Dimitris Kafetzis as your captain, you're in for a treat. Most, if not all, captains are all business, some of them rarely interact with guests, and are 100% focused on their responsibilities (as it should be). Captain Dimitris goes beyond just being a ships master....he goes out of his way to interact, inform, and yes...even entertain. This man has a marvelous sense of humor, and wit.
Right from the beginning, during the muster safety drill, he came on the intercom, with some humorous remarks and had everyone laughing in stitches. We knew then , that this is a different type of captain. Later, along with two other members of his senior staff, he made himself available in the Reflection theater for a one hour Q&A about the vessel. Most questions were directed at him, and he answered each question, with some sort of witty remark...many of them referencing his Greek heritage. He not only educated everyone on the inner workings of the Reflections, but once again had us all feeling at ease with his wit.
A few days later, he once again conducted an informative mini-seminar on the ships navigation systems, along with another 15-20 min.Q&A.
Nice cabin....typical for our category. Room steward did a nice job, responsive.
