Sail Date: Oct 2017
Cabin: Mid-Ship Inside

We just traveled on this ship with another couple. Their first, my 13th or more. I've been on mega brand new ships and mid ship sizes. I find I quite love this size. This is my second time on the Spirit (traveled to Caribbean January of 2017). I have zero complaints really. yes it's older. So what? It's clean, it's been updated in most areas (could maybe do with another facelift, but nothing drastic). The staff works constantly cleaning. The service was fabulous. Drinks a plenty. We had the 4 dinner package which I hadn't experienced before. Highly recommend! We went to the Italian which was my least favourite. Could be my choice of meal, but none of the four of us seemed to be impressed by it (perhaps because we had just spent 4 days in the Amalfi coast in italy?!). The Tepanaki, the French and the Steak house (Cagneys) were all great. If you're a big steak eater, I can honestly say that Cagney's may have been the best steak I've ever eaten. Cooked to perfection and the taste was amazing!

Entertainment was okay. I'm not one for the shows. The Beatles shows was spectacular but other than that...meh. We entertained ourselves with the pub, (trivia) or just socializing. The loung entertainment was always nice and I loved spending time there.

Beaufitul atmosphere. Newlywed game, all that sort of stuff. Typical, but easy and entertaining! We loved going to the disco but sadly were disappointed more nights than not as the DJ really played way too much spanish techno kind of stuff. The crowd would come in but then dissipate. That music is fine, but it needs to be mixed up more so you don't lose the captive audience. We are in our 50's but love to dance and love current (non techno/spanish/dance) music as well as the older true disco. We had maybe two nights of fun in there.

Cabin Review

Mid-Ship Inside

We took an inside cabin for the first time in about 15 cruises! I was very wary of this idea after having had balconies etc but figured since we had such a heavy itinerary it would be a waste. It was perfectly fine! I thought I'd feel claustrophobic but actually enjoyed the darkness. Very quiet. We were mid ship on the deck. No noise at all. The room had plenty of closet space, bathroom was spacious enough and we had all we needed. I do wish they'd give more plugs though! I couldn't plug my hair dryer in anywhere so had to use theirs. I have long, thick hair and their blow dryer is, shall we stay, less than state of the art. Other than that it was all good
