We wanted to see the Northern Lights and the Lofoten Islands and decided to take the 12 day cruise from Bergen to Kirkenes and back. Unfortunately we were in the Lofoten Islands both on the northerly and southerly cruise at night so missed the islands during the day time but we were lucky enough to see the Northern Lights.

We had booked on two mountain walks one in Lofoten at night the other in Urke unfortunately both were cancelled because of bad weather but we did manage to take alternatives in Urke and Honningsvag which were both very enjoyable in this stunningly beautiful part of the world.

The ship (Richard With) stops in quite a number of ports which often allows you time to get off and explore, which we did and thoroughly enjoyed. Read more
