Great way to get from US to Australia. Best crew we’ve ever had—the Captain was very friendly and accessible, Hotel Manager, Michael Landry was visible, responsive and friendly, MDR and Windjammer staff were great. Always easy to find a place to sit in Winjammer—a first in our experience. Cruise Director, Dan and Activities Manager, Amy were great as were Jacob, Michael, and Sylvia. We love this size ship. Very easy embarkation and disembarkation.

More effort needed for disinfection. I complained about lack of hand sanitizer stations at entrance to MDR on deck 3 and was told they were available on deck 4!? By day 2, this had been remedied. Water was scalding hot in public restroom sinks, discouraging many from proper handwashing. Anticeptic wipes in gym not regularly refilled. By disembarkation, I estimate 1/3 of the passengers had terrible coughs and colds.

South Sea Island resort, Fiji and Mare, New Caledonia were fantastic! Two of our shore excursions were embarrassingly awful—RCI should be ashamed. The resort in Suva had 6 sunbeds and 6 lounges for 2 coaches of guests and we were told only registered guests could use the pool or wander the grounds. This resort was damaged in the Jan, 2016 cyclone and hasn’t recovered. The resort staff did their best, but...The bus trip in Lifou required a steep uphill walk to get to the coach and didn’t stop at a supermarket as advertised . Scenic drive was a joke. RCI should require a crew member to accompany each tour or at least check out the ports occasionally.
