The food was great, and there were a wide variety of choices. Staff was attentive and well trained/professional, yet friendly and very accommodating.
What was most disappointing was the wine selection. We purchased the unlimited drink package and really had difficulty finding wine that was even as good as what we drink at home every day. I wouldn't categorize us as wine snobs, but we do have our standards ;)
Purchasing bottles doesn't feel good when you have already invested $180 per day for beverages. It caused us to experiment with mixed drinks, which was kind of fun, but it was also frustrating. I couldn't go longer than 7 days unless there was an upgrade to standard red wine selections.
Cabin was roomy and well-equipped. Balcony was small, but adequate. Wouldn't be big enough to eat meals or sunbathe on. Cabin steward was very professional, but we aren't very high maintenance.
Went into port to look around, but there were a bunch of ships in and it was super overcrowded and wifi was overloaded and slow/barely functional. Shops were expensive and nothing special. Got back on ship and had more fun.
Took taxi to other side of island, to Puerto Moreno resort. No charge to enter, and there was a beautiful beach, great restaurant/bar with beach and pool service, long rows of hammocks both in and out of sun, beach massages and more! Great day! Will definitely return on next trip to Cozumel!
Outstanding! Everyone was raving about how impressed they were. Beautiful beach, huge clean pool and grounds, ample facilities... everything was top notch! Wish all ports could be this perfect!
Took a taxi - Hayes Transportation - that we found when we got to town. For $30 RT for both of us, we got a short "tour" and got dropped off at Bananarama Beach - where we paid $10 each to have beach access, bar/restarant, security, pretty clean facilities, etc. It was a "win" - we had a great day!
