Poor food, complacent crew. Good entertainment.

We booked this cruise on short notice as it was a good deal and we didn't have to fly for it. We knew on short notice wouldn't get a great cabin but we didn't really care. We have been on over 20 cruises on other lines, mostly Carnival but Royal Carribean and river cruises on the Nile and Yangtze as well.

Embarkation went well and we were able to use the nearby cruise parking lot and shuttle which was convenient. (Upon return, we were told the shuttles weren't running and would have to walk to the lot.) my wife and I are in good shape and it wasn't a big deal for us, but maybe for others.

Cabins were available an hour or two after boarding which is standard but we are platinum level on Carnival and can go to our cabin immediately. Didn't expect that on NCL as we are first timers.
