We had a rough first day. We had paid for the Ultimate Dining Package and were not able to book our dining venues pre cruise but were told we would be pre booked for the first night at one of the specialty restaurants. Then we would be able to plan the week. At 2 o'clock on the first day we got in line to book our meals. There was no note in our stateroom advising us of our location and time for the first night. After nearly an hour in line with no movement we were told to go to any specialty restaurants and we could book through the maitre 'd. We went to Chops grill and were told that we had no restaurant booked for the first night . Also, we were told that Jamies' was already booked for the week. Let the nightmare begin. After that we struggled every night to book a reservation.
Our ocean balcony room was fine and well maintained. The shows were very nice and the performers were very talented. Bingo had automatic tablets available and the games were lively. There was no adult pool, but two adult hot tubs.
The casino was busy and the spacing of the tables and machines was adequate.
If we had not booked the Ultimate dining package we could have booked the dining we wanted each night pre-cruise. Also, my feelings about the dining experience would not have tinged the entire cruise.
The room is lovely and fitted with all the features you would need. The glass shower is a great improvement with a footrest for shaving your legs. Electric outlets at the bedside. Two USB ports on the desk plus more outlets. Empty fridge was handy for wine and water. We had plenty of closet space and drawers. The new colors are very peaceful and subtle. Our room steward was charming and very unobtrusive.
