My significant other and I went on the Divina last week for 7 days with a large group. I have been cruising for years and have been on many different lines as has he. The ship is beautiful inside and our cabin was an aft balcony stateroom - the balcony was at least double the size of the regular balcony cabins - and the room was a very decent and comfortable size. - no complaints about that - the shows were great and the dancers, singers and acrobats were wonderful - some of the best performances I have seen. Piano Bar smelled from smoke from the Casino - many of us could not stay in the casino due to how smokey it was - it was awful.
That being said, the service and the food need improvement. The cabin steward was just ok for the first part of the trip - he got better as time went on - the diningroom staff needed more help as the waiters did not have busboys the first few days and it took forever to get dinner served - it took so long that most people at first seating missed the first show which was the only one that night - it took over 2 hours for dinner. The last couple of days it was a bit better but still took forever. The food was hit and miss - overcooked often, under seasoned, and not hot when it should have been. The buffet had an ok selection but food was often cold - do not go on this ship for the food - no lobster either - shrimp cocktail has an up charge -
The non-Americans were treated better than the Americans - they need to work on this if they want to keep sailing from Miami - this was a big problem - Might consider going again but not soon - going back to RCL instead - they know how to treat you
Very spacious aft balcony - good size cabin - decent storage - took 5 days to figure out how to get the light on the balcony on - weird set up - shower folds in to make more room - great idea -
If you are getting a balcony cabin - get the very aft ones - they are bigger with huge balconies with loungers and chairs - regular ones only have chairs
