Cabin: Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

This was a last minute decision for us (middle age couple; no kids). We booked about 10 days ahead of departure. Given the timing, we were fairly limited in options. We also wanted something that was a short flight or decent drive for us. This limited us to New York, Bayonne, and Baltimore. Options included Disney, Carnival, NCL, and RCCL. We've had so-so experiences with NCL (no suites available so that one was out), Carnival isn't our thing, and Disney was doing the Canadian Maritimes - it can be very cold in late October there!

We really didn't care about the ports - this trip was about getting away!

We ended up with RCCL and decided to do the drive to the port rather than fly.

Cabin Review

Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin D2

One of the best laid out cabins we've been in. Plenty of room to move around and lots of storage. Deck 10 has cabins above and below so no worries about furniture being moved, dancing, etc.

Walls are very thin between cabins.

The safe is close to useless. Far too small.

Port Reviews

Port Canaveral (Orlando)

We didn't have enough time to go to Kennedy Space Centre so we took a shuttle to Cocoa Beach. Weather was overcast and, unfortunately, the riptides prevented any swimming at the beach.

Nassau

Nassau seems to be the port of choice for cruises. We've probably been here at least a dozen times and we've never liked it. We do a bit of window shopping - that's about it.
