There is something to be said regarding these MEGA size cruise ships. There is a point of TOO BIG. Don't get me wrong.... I still believe cruising is the best vacation and have been on many. There is no BAD cruise!!! But I believe these mega cruises are taking away from the services you expect on a cruise.... especially in the dining area. The ships are expanding in their "specialty dining". But I don't believe NCL is expanding in their staffing. It feels like staff is being taken away from the main dining room and being placed in the specialty dining. In the main dining room.... staff is low and therefore.... service is slow. You use to have 2... maybe 3 service staff anticipating your dining needs. This time... you did have 1... maybe 2... but that along with the other 10 tables they had to wait on. Does waiting an hour for a cup of coffee (and this happened more than once... one time I finally just walked out without coffee) sound like they need more help???? I never was asked once what I wanted to drink. Yet, my husband, who did drink wine was constantly asked if he wanted more. When I asked where was my coffee.... they would just answer... coming right up!!!

FREESTYLE Cruises should be reviewed again by NCL. There are many pluses... you are not set every day to a schedule. But people have taken it too far of course!!! There was something special about the elegance of the Main Dining room. It gave you a place to "dress up"!!! NCL needs to set some rules and enforce them. People came in shorts, flip flops, tank tops. To top it off.... one night, standing in line, the man in front of use had a shirt that something about "..... F..king Music!!! He was let in to dine!!! You don't need that in the dining room!!!

Bottom line.... this won't stop us from cruising NCL. But, I will review my choices in the future.
