Cabin: Mid-Ship Balcony Stateroom

This was our retirement dream. 14 days on a cruise ship across the Atlantic Ocean. We LOVE NCL so we chose the TA from Copenhagen to Miami on the Getaway. We have been on the Getaway before (and the Breakaway--it's twin sister) so we knew what to expect.

Out mid ship balcony cabin was lovely. The balconies on these ships are tiny but we could still sit and rest our feet on the table and enjoy the view.

The food was fabulous! We did not have a bad meal. We especially enjoyed Le Bistro (not been our fave in the past!), Ocean Blue and our very favorite, Moderno. Service was great in all the restaurants, even in the included ones, Taste, Savor and Tropicana. We find the music loud in Tropicana so we only ate there once.

Port Reviews

Copenhagen

We took the red bus and got to see a whole lot of Copenhagen. It was great to get on and off whenever.

King's Wharf

Enjoyed walking to Snorkel Beach and renting a beach chair. Quiet and lovely.

Took the NCL ferry to St. George the next day and that was a fun day.
