We sailed on the NCL Jewel from Vancouver to Hawaii. This was our first transpacific cruise and were worried about the sea conditions. Having done a transatlantic cruise 2 years ago, we were expecting some rough seas but nothing compared to what we experienced on this cruise.

The Ship

The Jewel is very outdated and needs to be refurbished. The ship layout is confusing and there are a lot of dead ends. The crew did a great job keeping the ship clean.

Cabin Review

Oceanview Porthole Window

Cabin OG

Awful cabin! Stay far away. We were "upgraded" to a ocean view cabin from our mid ship interior cabin. Location is all the way in the front of the ship. Rough seas during the crossing made it very difficult to sleep as the waves hitting the ship caused a banging sound.
