As first time cruisers, we didn't know what to expect. Tui/Marbella operated like a well oiled cog. Transfers were smooth and the staff certainly knew how to move passengers along. The food was standard, with a few dishes that were very good. We ate 1 night at Sirrocas, and found that the food was no better than that being served in the Compass Rose. The service was not as warm as we had experienced in the Compass Rose either. That said, it was a nice enough evening. The service in the Compass Rose was excellent. We always made sure that we were seated at one of Harly's and JR's tables. What fantastic waiters! They were friendly and very professional and went out of their way to make our experience a pleasant one. The wine steward, Yasser, was top of his game! How he managed to keep our glasses topped up at all times, heaven only knows! Even with so many passengers, he remembered what my husband drank. We found the excursions to be good value. Given that one is at the various ports for a limited time, unless one knows your way around, it makes sense to go an a tour. We enjoyed our trip so much that we are planning another one on the Spirit, before she is taken out of service.

Cabin Review

Cabin Deluxe outside cabin

I had read reviews about the Spirit being dated etc. Yes, one could say the decor is a little dated and in need of redoing, however, the room service and cleanliness made up for it. Good, unobstructed view.
