It was so hot in September in New Jersey we wanted to get away to somewhere cooler!

This cruise seemed to be a terrific way to do that and, in general, was. Life on board has improved quite a bit since our last cruises 25 years ago. The food and service were outstanding! Sitting in the "Great Outdoors" after breakfast was our favorite spot.

Purchasing unlimited internet access, a week of Spa access, extra water, specialty restaurant access and unlimited beverage service really helped what would have otherwise been a bit boring.

Cabin Review

Mid-Ship Mini-Suite with Balcony

Cabin MA

Decent size room with nice balcony. Great storage. Uncomfortable "couch" and mini-desk-stool (nowhere comfortable to sit other than the bed or the chairs on the balcony in decent weather). Bathroom OK but bathtub hindered easy shower access. Only one plug in the internet age was surprising. Throwback ashtray in the toilet was amusing.

Our steward - Ganisan - was superb: always helpful and thoughtful; never intrusive; a real towel artist!

Port Reviews

Quebec City

Walking around Quebec City was delightful.

We had booked an excursion, but got bumped from it and were not notified until we tried to pick up our tickets the morning of the scheduled excursion.

Corner Brook

Depressed old industrial town with lots of hills and nothing to see or do. The locals were very friendly.
