First-time cruiser, we did not know what we were doing and had purchased our cruise through Costco. We had an outside room which means you have a window to the outside, definitely get an outside room if you can. I am a health conscious person and chose this ship bc it had a decent gym; treadmills face the ocean, full circuit but not much room in the free weight area as there is only one flat bench...there is also a fitness /aerobics room where classes are available. Shower in the gym as they have regular sized showers there which are much bigger than the showers in the bedroom... Did not purchase a drink package as we do not drink, but water is hard to find. I had a water bottle which I refilled daily with ice water from the cafe.... carried it everywhere in my backpack.

Dining- eat at the Dining rooms when possible. The first day I followed the crowd and entered the Windjammer which is buffet style- it was traumatic. Masses of people gorging.... if you want to stay on the healthy side you can have breakfast at the Dining room, grab fresh fruit at the Windjammer for lunch and eat a light dinner. So far, Day 3 starter scallops and garlic soup were good. Day 2 cherries jubilee.

Service is excellent. People on the ship work very hard to make it a good experience for you....
