My wife and I choose this cruise because we always wanted to do a transatlantic cruise, the price was right and with the extras offered, a good deal. We had previously cruised on Norwegian 6 times in the past and were always very happy. This was the largest ship we had ever been on and after reading numerous reviews I wasn't sure what we had gotten ourselves into, but on the whole a great time.

The ship, itself, is beautiful. Without all the garish colors that have always been on the other ships, the muted tones were a really nice change. Even though we got a UBP and 4 UDP reservations we opted to buy an additional 5 dinners as we have really enjoyed the specialty dining restaurants in the past.

Dining: Savor and Taste are the two smaller complimentary restaurants. They were well laid out and were attractive. Dinners here were okay, breakfast a totally different story. We had usually gone to the Garden Café for breakfast in the past as we would be doing excursions most days. With 10 days at sea, it seemed we could relax and enjoy breakfast. The first few days things went smoothly. About day 5 things began to go downhill. It was difficult to get a pot of tea (sometimes waiting almost 30 mins to get it). They started walking around with juices and it was easy to get one, but almost impossible to get a second. (The waiters even started to say that Moderno was offering a buffet breakfast as a way to disperse the crowds.). By the end of the cruise, breakfast became a good hour and a half ordeal. There were many people walking around, but very little getting done.
