Sail Date: Oct 2017

I saw this cruise advertised on a web search and as I had never sailed with CMV before I thought I would give it a try. The embarkation process was superb. The port of Tilbury staff should give themselves a pat on the back for a very smooth process. Our cases were outside our cabin by the time we arrived on board at 12.30. Our cabin was a great size and we were upgraded to a cabin with a window which we delighted about.

The food was average, it was not the same standard as I have had on previous cruises. I don't like the idea you can only have tea/coffee until midnight. There was no 24 hour dining which I get as the majority of passengers are in bed before the midnight hour but for those of us who were in the nightclub till the wee small hours it would have been good to even have been offered some late night sandwiches? The 'snacks' served on the 7 th deck between 11-11.30 is not a lot of good if you're on the 14th deck. We tried them one night and we never bothered again.

Entertainment was very good on the whole although there were some shows which really bombed, particularly the 'comedians'! The lack of ballroom dancing space was disappointing, especially when they advertised 30 minutes of this before th show and then only delivered 15 minutes. According to the cruise director this was a mistake in the daily newsletter but it was not rectified after discussion with the said cruise director.
