We chose this cruise for the destinations of Greece, Montenegro and Croatia. The cruise left out of Venice, Italy. We arrived in Venice two days prior to the cruise and enjoyed touring Venice. Embarkation and disembarkation went smoothly. However, our cabin was awful due to noise and obstructions (see below). The only available dining was the buffet as even the main (free) dining rooms were booked. The entertainment was good. We took two excursions. The excursion to Olympia, Greece was excellent with a informative and interesting tour guide. The excursion to Athens was awful due to our tour guide stating his negative political opinions and paranoia about everything throughout the excursion and saying very little about Greek history and architecture which was the purpose of this excursion. This was our 13th cruise and our 6th cruise on Norwegian. After this experience, strongly considering canceling our next cruise already scheduled on Norwegian.

Cabin OA

This cabin was just below the kitchen of both main dining rooms. The noise was almost 24 hours a day and was unbearable with constant scraping, banding and grinding noises of metal objects. Sleep was almost impossible with frequent awakenings due to the noise.

There was less than 6 inches between the desk and the end of the bed so that we had to literally climb over the end of the bed to get into that side of the bed. The other side of the bed had another bed attached to the wall so that we had to crouch or bend forward to get into that side of the bed and frequently hit our head or shoulder.

Port Reviews

Venice

Venice is a very walkable city and we. were able to tour everything in two days

Dubrovnik

We took a shuttle from the pier to the Old Town for $15 round trip. Old town is beautiful and very walkable with many restaurants and shops. Makes for a nice half day.

Kotor

Kotor is a very small town with not much to do. We walked through old town and ate lunch in a local restaurant on the outdoor patio.

Split

This was our favorite port. Split is larger than Dubrovnik and has a larger Old Town. We walked in Old Town for 4-5 hours talking to the locals, shopping and enjoying some of the local food and beer. The ship was only a two minute walk to Old Town.
