Sail Date: Oct 2017

My fifth time with Princess but first on Golden. Have always enjoyed the shows, food and excursions and this time the weather was a challenge. My balcony room was comfortable and clean however the bathroom was tiny, making having a shower in bumpy weather very unpleasant. The balcony was large but overlooked and mostly unused because of rain and wind. The highlight of the trip was the Sail the Whitsundays excursion which included a swim on a sandy island, lunch and beautiful sun at last. Loved 3 of the shows, Adele experience, British Invasion and Born to Dance. Food was average or poor and room service poor with breakfast not turning up twice.

Despite the disappointments I still love cruising but will probably choose a smaller ship next time so that we can berth in major ports. Was pleasing to note a couple of larger, more stable boats taking the place of the ship’s tenders several times.
