We love to take cruises but this cruise was terrible. Our balcony cabin was so tiny that you could not pass your partner in the cabin. The bathroom was tiny tiny and it was hard to turn around in. If you never want to see your cabin steward then please take this cruise. We are used to be greeted and recognized when coming and on going through out the day but that is not the case on this ship. There was no excitement on the cruise. There was no party atmosphere on this ship at all. I think we saw our cruise director Saliso once all week. You could do WII Bowling or Origami . (wow that is so much fun) We cruised on NCL before and there had always been lots to do while on the boat. Nope not on this one!! I was going to leave my 88 year old dad on the boat but found that they do not serve or cater to them at all. On Carnival we left dad while we in to port and he had a blast. Made me jealous. On the Pearl you had two bars open and there was a line that went on and on while you were trying to get a drink while in port. The real joke was for my 4 year old. Let me tell you about the Splash Academy. NOT LIKE THE PICTURES!!!! The Kids pool is 10 inches deep with a slide. The playroom has windows and pads on the floors. That is about it. There is no fun equipment or toys to play with. There is nothing to keep them entertained. The hours are crazy and leave no time for you to do anything before you have to pick them up for 2 hours at a time. No climbing, jumping, running, nothing for them to do. My four year old cried that she did not want to go back. There is Some thing really wrong with that picture. She was extremely afraid on Mini Bob one of the crew in the Splash Academy. She refused to go back if he was there. I questioned it and voiced my concerns and was told that he was great. She has never acted that way. This cruise out of New Orleans was the most disorganized and worst boarding procedures. We had a special assistant person with us and that meant nothing to them. We had made all of the arrangements prior to cruising but it was a waste of time. Ended up with both of us on each side of dad trying to carry him aboard. We saw multiple elderly people fall and hurt themselves on board. No one cared. One lady fell and broke her arm and the crew wanted to see if she had the right shoes on. Wait she broke her arm!!! Crew was not cheery except when they were off the ship. They were not entertaining . I don't think they liked their job. Our maître d was the best thing on the ship. Had to call 911 while on the boat because our cabin filled full of smoke and they said "is this a medical emergency" It could have been! Never Again NEVER NEVER

Water Smelled bad! Children were not allowed in Pool. Long walk to nothing. We were not catered to and very little to do. Water smelled to bad to spend it at the beach.

Costa Maya

The port is clean and fun. Nice big pool for everyone and lots of shopping. Experienced the fish spa.
