Over all this was super fun! There was a big group of us 9 to be exact including a 6 year old and an 8 year old. Getting on the ship was just fine. We had a 1030 check in but got there by 9 and got to drop off our luggage and explore around the terminal. We also jumped into the early arrival line and got in quickly. Once on the ship it was great. Lots to do and see and the lines weren't nearly as bad as I thought. Dinner was always amazing! We ate in the Washington dinning hall every night and our server Joel was so awesome. He was so kind and really took the time to learn a little about each of us. The food was great. The steak wasn't as good as say a steakhouse on land but hey it was all you can eat. Brunch at sea was delicious. Guys burgers is a must. The only complaint was that the hours at things like Guys are very short lasting like 4 hrs. The bars were fine. We liked the comedy club but didn't like the girl. She was awful but Dale her husband ironically was so funny! Getting off at Cozumel's port was faster than I expected and easy. We took a cab to Mr. Sanchos which was the best idea. They waited on us hand and foot, the water was clear and gorgeous and even survived a thunderstorm with little inconvenience. The shops at Mr. Sanchos are over priced and they are unwilling to budge. I didn't get off the boat for Progreso and it was my most favorite day of our vacation! Usually the pools and hot tubs are over crowded and the most frustrating part of that is that the adults, that have their own private section, were grinding on each other in the hot tub or pool in the family section. Our movies got rained out and the popcorn machine was broken. Bingo was expensive and they kind of trick you on the big prize package because you have so many plays to win or it drops to like nothing. I loved the trip and my biggest complain was THE ENTIRE SHIP SMELLED LIKE SMOKE No matter where we went even in our cabin hallway. It was so frustrating. Also the wifi package was a joke it hardly ever worked. The guest service desk was hard to talk to anyone because the line was always ridiculous. I am going to give this ship another try in hopes that the smoke thing was just a fluke. Carnival as a line was awesome.

Our room was great. It wasn't ever too hot, very spacious and always cleaned! We couldn't wait to see what towel creation we would get next. There was also so many towels and pillows it was awesome.

Port Reviews

Progreso

I was the only one in my group who didn't get off the ship and it was the best choice. Staying on ship ended up being the best day and we didn't have to deal with pushy shop owners or below average beaches.

Galveston

Not much around but I am there to get on a cruise. We did go to the rainforest café which was fun.
