Sail Date: Oct 2017
Cabin: Superior Deluxe Balcony Stateroom

This was my first P&O cruise chosen by the friend whose special birthday we were to celebrate.

P&O were nice enough to upgrade the two of us and both the super deluxe and balcony cabins were a fair enough size but oh so beige and plastic. Quiet though and well positioned should we have had rough seas but one of the upsides of this cruise was the calmest of waters I have ever experienced.

Let's start with the positives as the negatives were many. Embarkation was super efficient, suitcases were delivered promptly and there was lots of space in the buffet for lunch on that first day. We were most fortunate to be seated for dinner with two of the most interesting of couples and I can honestly say they enhanced the whole experience. As did the friendliness of the crew but, apart from warm and sunny weather at all destinations, that's where the positives ended.

Superior Deluxe Balcony Stateroom

Cabin CA

As stated previously the cabin was a fair size and clean with lots of hanging space though the additional plastic hangers didn't add to the elegance of the room. Very nice to have a bath tub but would have appreciated some more handles as it was deep and I am small! The beige decor needs a refurb and something should be done about all that plastic.
