We chose this cruise because of the timing and itinerary. Like being able to leave from Rome -- gives us plenty of time in Italy prior to the cruise.

We found first day boarding to be efficient. Did not keep people waiting a long time prior to boarding. Disembarking was handled well on the ship with people being able to wait in their rooms until their designated departure time, seemed to cause less crowded elevators and public areas. Once we debarked there was some confusion with the luggage as was not in proper areas and was mixed with other colors and numbers.

Entertainment had its highs and lows. The main theater is an excellent venue with the rounded stage. Felt that the lead singers in the revue numbers were not that good. Could not understand what they were singing. The gal lead was particularly screechy in her delivery, plus it was obvious she had no dancing ability. The classical music was nice, however, felt that they should have been other types of entertainment in that same area switching it all around, thereby offering a larger variety of entertainment. There was really no dancing venue during the evenings, except those late in the evening and the Jazz musicians, which is really limiting to those who want to dance. The tea dance at 4PM made no sense to me unless you cannot stay up past 7PM at night - but that is just a personal observation and there were people taking part in it. The best show they had by far was at the Billboard Lounge. Two piano playing singers. The two piano set up was really nice. Great music from many eras.
