Viking is a great Company to travel with. The staff is well trained and knowledgeable. Both embarkation and disembarkation went very smoothly with no long lines. The Viking Star is a beautiful ship, just the right size not to feel crowded. The Atrium with the large staircase is very grand. Enjoyed sitting and listening to the guitarist, piano player and the Viking Trio. The cabins are bright, with tasteful decor and are very roomy. The staff is the friendliest they can be. The food is amazing and very versatile. The specialty restaurants are way above average. We loved the two specialty restaurants Manfredy's and the Chef's Table. There is entertainment and activities all day long, you'll never get bored. We received top notch service. The included excursions were very interesting and many optional tours are offered. It was hard to choose which one to take. We heard very positive feedback from fellow cruisers. This was our 4th time traveling with Viking and it will not be our last.

Cabin Review

Cabin Explorer suite

Very roomy suite with a great view.

Port Reviews

Toulon

We took the optional tour to Marseille with it's very old port. The view from the Notre Dame de la Garde basilica was outstanding, but you had to climb over 120 steps to get there ( a must if you needed a restroom).
