This was our first Viking cruise to celebrate our 50th anniversary. The ship was impeccable with the crew never failing to greet us and assure our comfort. Very impressive. Our cabin was beautiful and very comfortable with the best bathroom on a cruise ship that we’ve ever experienced. Large with heated floors and large shower. There were several restaurants to choose from with freshly prepared, delicious food. We did a Galley Tour and the kitchen was immaculate and well managed. We especially appreciated being able to choose which restaurant to dine at each day at a time that was convenient for us. We loved Mamsen’s in the AM before an excursion. They served the most delicious, made to order waffles with fresh berries..yum! Our excursions, both included and purchased, were very well organized, enjoyable and educational. We did wish, especially in Rome and Florence, for extra days in port to more fully enjoy what these cities had to offer. Entertainment on board was excellent whether it was soft music in the atrium, theater shows or late nights at Torshaven. There was so much to see and do on the ship that we just didn’t have enough time to explore them all. Guess we’ll have to go again. For our special occasion, we chose very well.

Cabin Review

Cabin Deluxe Veranda

The cabin was very clean and well maintained. It was very quiet and comfortable. The only suggestion I might add is that it may be time to swap out the mattress. I would also like to see more washing machines/dryers on each floor. There was usually a line of people waiting to use. Also TV had minimal choices and way too many news stations. Cruising is an escape from the world in my opinion.
