We live in Florida, my middle aged wife and myself and took the plunge so to speak. Embarking on a cruise takes time and energy and it was all very confusing when we arrived at the terminal. A plus was the way the staff helped us along in the process. Checking in our luggage and boarding the boat. Congrats to the workers. For those of us cruising for the first time they were readily available and answered all our questions. We have Scottish accents and they could still understand us.
The ship was set for departure for 4pm and we were on board at 11 am. It gave us time to explore the ship. The layout of this ship is very confusing and the lifts are nearly always packed. We used the stairs practically all the time.
Our Stateroom was on deck 8 which had an obstructed view which basically meant your view was obstructed and couldn't see anything. It's small but my wife liked the cabin. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was quite adequate.
Compact but adequate and very clean. We had no complaints at all. The young man who cleaned our room was incredibly polite and worked very hard.
