Much of the HAL experience is excellent as always. Dining Room, Cabin Stewards and Bar staff do a great job.
Am a 4 star mariner with HAL and have witnessed a continual reduction of standards. Evening dinning menu choices were just OK. Number of options have been reduced a good deal. Flavor was lacking on such items as crab, lamb & beef. Crab was described as "King Crab", but legs were less than 1/2" in diameter, dry and tasteless. Leg of lamb had no taste. Beef was at times good, not always. Have typically looked forward to the evening dinning experience. Not so much this time.
Interesting. Adagio was more popular and greater attended than the quartet at the Ocean Bar.
Things in the world have changed in many ways. But, if the dress code is established as "smart Casual" the standard should be maintained. "Ragged Casual" should not be tolerated. "Gala", previously "Formal", should at least require a jacket for the men and something more than capris for the ladies.
