I have taken my time over posting this review as I thought time and distance might make me feel more charitable but I still feel people should be forewarned. This is the first cruise we have ever taken and we didn't know what to expect. We were profoundly disappointed. A fellow guest said we shouldn't let it put us off cruising as we had started with the worst and the only way was up!

Our itinerary was supposed to be Zeebrugge, Amsterdam, Hamburg and Le Havre. We ended up visiting Zeebrugge, Hamburg and Rotterdam. Excursions were cut short or cancelled completely and not once did the ship arrive or depart in time from anywhere. This could have been less frustrating if we were actually kept in the picture. Instead it was last minute announcements or none at all.

A lot of people have complained about the food but we didn't find it too bad. In the restaurant the portions were small but very nice and the buffet varied depending on the time of day. Lunch and breakfast were fine but dinner was a bit hit and miss.

Hamburg

Sunday trading so shops all shut and roads closed off because of the Marathon. Pretty much a waste of time.
