My wife always wanted to see Venice, so this cruise was perfect for us as Venice was both the embarkation and disembarkation port, where we spent an evening prior to boarding day. Our travel agent also recommended MSC due to her having previous employment experience with them.

Boarding was delayed due to the ship being denied entry into port due to heavy fog, once commenced, boarding was a bit lengthy but can't expect it to be any more streamlined with all the people that need to board. During the boarding delay MSC provided us with water and chocolates.

We had an inside cabin, which we found perfect for our needs, we were rarely in the cabin, only for sleep and getting ready for outings. What would be great is to have a facility in the room for at least one cup of coffee each when waking up. The guy that serviced our room was outstanding, whenever we came back into it we had fresh towels and the room had been tidied up.
