Review for the Baltic Sea Cruise on Viking Sea

Viking staff are top flight. Everyone goes out of their way to make the cruise a memorable experience. No preferential treatment by cabin type except when registering for excursions in advance. Once on the ship everyone was special. We loved our experience and it has given me pause to reconsider future cruises as we typically prefer land travel. Granted you only skim the highlights of each port, but you don't see everything on a land trip either. It was nice not to pack and repack and expend your energy on ship board or port activities. Dining was wonderful. Even buffet offerings were high quality.

My only recommendation would be to look at some of the paid excursions. For the most part they were good but guides who had a teaching background were excellent with the right balance of teaching and keeping track of people. Also there were guests with walkers who paid for excursions but could not participate because of gravel walk ways or cobblestone streets. An easy tour doesn't mean an accessible tour.

Cabin Review

Cabin Veranda

Big enough for two with plenty of room under the bed to stow belongings. Room attendant kept room fresh without being intrusive. Nice size bathroom with plenty of room for toiletries. Heated floor was great on cold mornings. The weather was too cool to use the balcony and that was disappointing, however the large windows provided some spectacular views.
