Problems that we faced on this cruise: October 7 to October 21, 2017. • First day, Cabin R327 was assigned to us. This cabin had fold-up bunk beds and is unsuitable for seniors like us. We should not have been assigned this cabin. Getting up at night to use the bathroom was a real ordeal, hitting head on the bunk bed above was an on going thing. Also, will attach a picture of the ceiling panels that were sagging. The TV was not working properly, the closed captions would not work, and the contrast and color was so bad that it was hard to watch. The new bed that was announced to be the best night sleep you ever had was arranged into a queen bed had dip or canoe that made our backs hurt each morning. • Elite upgrades normally found in the room were missing; we did get the bar set up. The Captains Circle Party showed many cut backs from the Captain not being there or any ship's officers attending. No finger sandwiches, no announcements, time was cut. • Third day we experienced a rainstorm and now we know why the ceiling panels were sagging. While sitting in bed that morning water dripped on our head. Reported to the cabin Stewart. Call was made to check water leak. • We were shocked and we did report the recorded music that was being played throughout the ship on sea days. This was rap with the F word and B words being sung out for all to hear. There is no place on earth that we should have to hear this type of language, and so very not appropriate on a cruise with children. • Seventh day we experienced another rain storm and when returning to our cabin at approximately 10 pm we found that there was water leaking from the light on the bed and the bed was wet. Called the front desk, the cabin Stewart. Norma from Guest Services came up and saw the problem. After many excurses on why this was not fix the first time, Norma moved us to another room for the night telling us that they will have workers in our cabin working on the leak until morning. At 6 am the following morning, a cabin Stewart walked into the room that we were given not knowing we were there. Not good to be woken up like that. We called Guest Services to get an update on the leak as Norma told us to do at 8 am. We were told that the leak was fixed but the carpenter will be back to put the panels back up and that we could go back and get things but could not use the cabin yet as they were still working in there. Therefore, we go back to the room to find that no one was there and it did not look like anything was done and the ceiling panels were still up and sagging. To get to the point of this long story, we were lied to repeatedly. They did not fix the leak the first time and not the second and the ceiling panels were never repaired. We were very fortunate that it did not rain again before we got off the boat. I sincerely hope the next occupant of that cabin has a dry cruise.
