Unbelievable how well Royal Caribbean handled this cruise after the hurricane. The staff had been through so much prior to our boarding but they were the best of any staff I can ever recall. Remarkable how well embarkation and disembarkation went considering the circumstances in San Juan. Only complaint would be muster. Standing outside in the extreme heat waiting for inconsiderate passengers is not a great way to start your vacation. We lucked out and were given the option of upgrading to an Owner's Suite. So our experience was very different than our other cruises. We had access to the Suite Lounge for drinks and appetizers before dinner. Excellent staff there and probably the last time I will experience the lounge unfortunately. We ate our meals in the specialty restaurants which were very good, really no complaints other than maybe more options. The staff in both restaurants were friendly and knowledgeable. Bartenders excellent in the Schooner! Overall this was an exceptionally good cruise especially considering the circumstances in San Juan. Glad I went and didn't cancel. The people in San Juan need to see tourists again.
