Background information: We’re HAL fans and we chose Konigsdam because it was going from Rome to Florida at the end of our Italian vacation and it was an opportunity to try the largest HAL ship.

Ship information: Didn’t feel crowded except in a couple areas in the Lido (healthy foods area – nuts, grains, beans, etc for breakfast); ice cream lines; a couple shows (3 times a night for 45 vice 60 minutes) were very crowded; cooking demos in culinary arts center were always packed; computer classes were always crowded.

Activities: Lots of things to do. 3 different lecture series; multiple trivia venues (regular, food, music); shows and other music venues (BB King, Lincoln Center (classical), piano bars, etc); movie time in the Lido pool area on a huge e-screen; great fitness center; jogging track and promenade (narrow in several places) for walking.

Cabin Review

Verandah Stateroom

Cabin VE

Seemed smaller than previous, but adequate. Plenty of storage. Balcony nice and not impaired by lifeboats. Room attendants were excellent.
