This was our second time doing this itinerary and our third time on the Summit. We love the ship, the ports, and the wonderful crew We enjoyed the food in the MDR and the Oceanview Cafe. Coffee was awful to just passable. Entertainment was a mixed bag, ranging from fabulous to just ok. Did not like the production shows. Very much enjoyed Jim Kennedy's presentations. Ranger John was interesting. Music around the ship was enjoyable.
We took some cruise ship excursions and they were done well.
I do have issues with the rooms set aside for card and board games on sea days. The QSIne was especially bad. Very cold on one day with the crew opening and closing the door to the outside on a cold day. The last sea day there were painters and sanders doing work. The fumes and noise were terrible. Please find a quiet room with more space for this activity.
Love the view from the forward cabin. Very smooth sailing. The configuration of this cabin with the L shape and closet placement allows for plenty of room.
