We were looking forward to having a romantic anniversary cruise so, instead of booking a regular "balcony" cabin, we booked into what was advertised on Carnival's website and video advertising is misleading. There was no "spacious balcony". The deck plan showed the cabin to be on the outside of the ship with no obstructions, but this, too was misleading.

When we arrived the suite we found a very different cabin. The balcony was recessed looking over an open passenger deck below.

Inflatable lifeboat containers and their hoists were in front of us on the balcony below and the hoists extended to our deck and balcony.

Cabin Review

Cabin 11

V-18 is NOT a suite and has a partially obstructed view and is NOT on the outside of the ship - the deck below is open and the cabin recessed.

The balcony is smaller than any balcony cabin on other ships and has no room to sit.

The balcony is VERY DANGEROUS for elderly people or those who cannot climb over chairs and tables - or place their legs through the railings.
